SONY VAIO T

You’re probably guessing that the "T” in VAIO T stands for thin. It makes sense seeing that this lappy is unbelievably skinny for a full-featured computer.

The T is marketed locally as the world’s first notebook with noise—canceling technology. True enough, the feature stood out from the rest of the T's tech arsenal. A special notched pair of noise- canceling in—ears comes with the unit. The noise—isolating cans work great for shutting your ears out from the outside world and once the system kicks in, you’ll be Surprised how even your wo1‘kmates’ chattering disappears.

On the more serious side, the T is a fantastic productivity tool especially for office apps. The 1l.1-inch screen allows you to View spreadsheets and Word documents with ease. And despite the small physical size of the LCD, you can view fonts and photos clearly because of the 1366x768-pixel resolution. For entertainment purposes, the T pumps out HD video smoothly.

When it comes to gaming the T isn’t quite the computer of choice, We played a round of Red Alert 3 and, although the game loaded quickly, the graphics card isn’t up to snuff and the game stuttered alot. But hey, kudos for something so small being able to run a graphics- hungry game at all.

The “humble" T may not have the Blu-ray drive. HDMI port and SSD hard drive of its foreign brother (the Vaio TT}, but it’s still an impressive computer with a gorgeous design. We just wish that it sold for only five figures.

Here are the easy steps on how to get your favorite arcade in your mobile phone. We chose Galaxian, a very popular video game way back in the 90 and most of us here is our favorite. On this guide we selected one of the smartphones featured on this tech blog. You may chose which mobile phone you prefer. So let’s start the configuration!

Step 1 - Mame Today's smart phones are so powerful; they can emulate the old arcade machines you used to pump coins into when you were young. All you need to do is load MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator] on your smart phone, then add the ROM for the game you want to p1ay. To get started, place your phone in its docking bay so it connects to your PC.

Step 2 – Getting Hold of the Software The crucial element that enables you to play those old arcade games is the emulator. The best one around is MAME, because it can emulate lots of old arcade machines. The version that runs on smart phones is called Emame. Go to www.yipton.demon.co.uk/content.html#EMame-P800 and download the software from the site.

Step 3 - Installing Emame on Your Phone Once you‘ve downloaded the software, unzip the file onto your desktop. Make sure your phone is connected to your computer and then double-click on the file to install it on your smart phone. When a message pops up saying the identity of the supplier can't be guaranteed, just click on the Install Anyway button.

Step 4 – Transfer the Files The installer will now present you with the name of the file that's to be copied to your phone. Click Next, and on the following screen, click Next again. When you‘re prompted for the drive onto which the application should be installed, select the C drive and click Next. Once the files have been installed, you’ll be given a message about ROM files and TrueType fonts. Click Continue and then Finish.

Step 5 – Downloading the ROM Now you need to download a ROM to run on the emulator. Were going to use Galaxians, so go to Google and do a search for the file galaxian.zip when you find it, download it to your desktop. Now run Emame on your phone. This will cause the software to create a folder called ROMS in the document folder. Dock your phone with your PC again and place the galaxian.zip file in this ROMS folder.

Step 6 – Running Emame

Now disconnect your phone from the PC, go to the Applications menu and Select Emame from the listt. Click on the OK button to have Emame scan for arcade ROMS. Once it has finished scanning, it’ll find the Galaxians ROM on your phone. Select the ROM and click on the Run button. The game will now load.
